The new MADLink 1.06k update was released to the public June 2008. The update includes software enhancements that allow for a more reliable Internet communication with the Morris & Dickson EDI Server. If the connection is interrupted, the EDI Server will resend the data the next time MADLink connects.  New enhancements allow the customer to send and receive their user items from MADLink to the M&D Web Portal. Linking item numbers from inventory or hospital systems to items in the Morris & Dickson ordering system software allows the use of the buy wizard on user item numbers in MADLink and also makes the item information accessible from any location that can log into the M&D Web Portal http://www.mdwebportal.net. 
 
 The 1.06k update includes changes in the link to Morris and Dickson's online pharmacy resource. Previously called M&D "Web Link", this resource is accessible through the MADLink software via the "We Care Pharmacy LOG IN" link. The resource, now called the We Care Pharmacy Resource Center http://www.wecarepharmacy.net  is web-based and contains information relative to independent pharmacies.
 The 1.06k update also includes the software changes that give Morris and Dickson customers unparalleled control of their retail pricing management and price sticker production, as well as a new versatility and ease of use. The update will allow pharmacies to submit changes and requests electronically from their ordering computer, without having to contact M&D. By removing this "middle man" approach we will place more control in the hands of the pharmacy. Besides expediting the price change procedure, the upgrade will also increase the retail price maintenance screen’s usability by implementing a simpler, more straightforward software design.

Some of the Retail Pricing capabilities offered are:

Set retail prices by three methods: Fixed price; Multiplier; Category overrides
Assign category pricing to individual drugs or change the retail pricing on an entire category
Allow the customer to customize their price stickers without the need of any additional equipment or software, using retail sticker maintenance.
Customize up to 6 lines, distinguishing between OTC stickers settings and Rx settings
Request single or multiple stickers
